    The car's name was revealed alongside the revelation that British International Investment would spend up to Rs 1,925 crores in Mahindra's nascent 'EV Co' to produce electric 4-wheelers. The upcoming Mahindra electric car is anticipated to get a 300 km range.

    When British International Investment said, it would contribute up to Rs 1,925 crore to Mahindra's new company, "EV Co," which will largely produce electric four-wheelers, Mr Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director - Auto & Farm Sectors, released a statement.

    The XUV300 served as the concept design for the future XUV400 electrified. The EV may undergo modifications like a shuttered forehead, new headlights, and custom wheels. The SUV might have new LED taillamps developed just for the electric car.

    Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), the world's largest automaker, is ready to spend at least around 30 billion for the future of the automotive industry (Electric vehicles) throughout the upcoming 3 years, with the expenditure on EVs and internal combustion engines (ICE) automobile vaguely resembling each other.
    To establish a sizable range of automobiles in India's Electric vehicle industry, the manufacturer also plans to introduce the first-ever EV SUV, the XUV 400, in the first half of the coming financial year. Three designed electric SUVs can be seen in a current promotional film from M&M.

    The Tata Nexon EV Max, MG ZS EV, and Hyundai Kona Electric are just a few of the electric vehicles that the XUV400 will contest alongside. It is anticipated that its initial cost will be in the range of Rs 15 lakh. Mahindra will also unveil three electric vehicle designs on August 15 as part of its Birthed series of EVs, which will be built on a specific EV infrastructure.

    Following on its ICE sibling (XUV300), the XUV400 all-electric SUV will be longer to handle the heavier EV parts and components. This four-wheeler, which has been initially developed on the construction materials of the SsangYong Tivoli, will provide greater room and functionality. Although its charger and drivetrain's specifics are still a mystery, we anticipate the car's battery capacity of roughly 400 to 450 km on a full charge. It is predicted that its appearance will strongly match the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo's eXUV300 Prototype.

    The e-Alfa Mini and Treo are Mahindra's current offerings in the electric three-wheeler category. Mahindra also has intentions to revolutionize the three-wheeler industry. The manufacturer also intends to electrify two-wheelers. At one of their plants, they manufacture such vehicles, which are sold abroad under the name Peugeot e-Ludix.
